This painting was was birthed during a gorgeous autumn sunset over the rolling hills near Armstrong Redwoods that I knew I just had to paint. I love the spirit of the elderberry plant and the delicious medicine it offers, and I absolutely love umbels. The brushwork on this landscape is thick and painterly.
